Laliva Education Centre respects your privacy. This page explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we look after it, in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

What information we collect

Only what you choose to give us when you use the enquiry form, or when you message us by WhatsApp, email or phone:

• your name and phone number or email address
• your child's name or age group, and the type of care you are looking for
• when you would like to start, and any message you write

How the website forms work

This website does not store your details. When you fill in a form, the website prepares a message on your own phone or computer, which opens in WhatsApp or your email app. We only receive your details once you press send.

Why we use your information

• to reply to your enquiry and send you our fees and availability
• to arrange a visit and, if you decide to enrol, to register your child

We do not use your details for anything unrelated, and we do not sell them.

Who we share it with

We do not share your information with anyone outside the school, unless the law requires it. Messages you send travel through WhatsApp (Meta) or your email provider, which handle them under their own privacy terms.

Cookies and other services

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies on this website. The page loads fonts from Google Fonts and shows an embedded Google Map, so Google may receive technical information such as your IP address when you view them. You can read Google's privacy policy on their website.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries only for as long as we need them to deal with your request. Records for children who are enrolled are kept for as long as needed to run the school and meet our legal duties.

Children's information and photos

This website asks for a parent or guardian's contact details, not information collected directly from children. If we share photos of children on our website or social media, we only do so with a parent or guardian's consent.

Keeping your information safe

We take reasonable steps to keep personal information safe and to limit who can see it.

Your rights

You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email us at info@laliva.co.za and we will help. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
